Kennedy's Seven Goals Power No. 6/7 Stony Brook to Seventh-Straight Win

BOSTON – No. 6/7 Stony Brook continued to roll in #AEWLAX play, topping Vermont 19-8 to improve to 5-0 in conference games.
 
UMBC topped UMass Lowell 16-11 and UAlbany defeated Hartford 23-6 in the other games last weekend. New Hampshire is scheduled to host Binghamton on Wednesday to kick off a week filled with five games.
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEWLAX this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.

Offensive Player of the Week
Ally Kennedy, Stony Brook – Gr, Attack, North Babylon, N.Y.
  • Career-high seven goals led Stony Brook over Vermont.
  • Kennedy also totaled six draw controls.
  • Her seven points was her highest single-game total this season.
  • This is her ninth career Offensive Player of the Week award and third this season.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Lexi Roberts, UMBC – Sr., Goalkeeper, Baldwin, Md.
  • .577 save percentage in UMBC’s 16-11 win over UMass Lowell.
  • Roberts’s 15 saves are the second-highest single-game total of any #AEWLAX keeper this season.
  • She also scooped up six ground balls.
  • This is her second career Defensive Player of the Week award and first this season.
 
Rookie of the Week
Dymin Gerow, UMBC – Fr., Attack, Baltimore, Md.
  • Tallied a hat trick to help UMBC to a win over UMass Lowell.
  • Gerow also had a career-high six draw controls.
  • This is her first career Rookie of the Week award.
