BOSTON – Three #AESB teams have started their 2021 campaigns and all three have wins under their belts. UMBC and Stony Brook are both off to 5-1 starts while UMass Lowell is 2-2.
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEMLAX this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.

Player of the Week
Courtney Cashman, UMass Lowell – Grad, Shortstop, Danvers, Mass.
- Compiled a league-best 1.688 OPS last week with an HR, four runs scored and four RBI.
- This is Cashman’s first Player of the Week honor of the season and fifth of her career.
Pitcher of the Week
Courtney Coppersmith, UMBC – So., Pitcher, York, Pa.
- Went 3-0 throwing 17 scoreless innings while allowing just four hits, two walks and striking out 41.
- This is Coppersmith’s first Pitcher of the Week award of the season and ninth of her career.
Rookie of the Week
Ashley Della Guardia, UMBC – Fr., First Base, Phoenixville, Pa.
- Slashed .647/.684/.941 with 11 RBI in a 5-1 week.
- This is Della Guardia’s first career Rookie of the Week honor.
