BOSTON – Conference play kicked off last week with UMass Lowell and Stony Brook earning series sweeps. Standout performances led the way as the River Hawks' Courtney Cashman became the program's all-time home runs leader while the Seawolves' Dawn Bodrug hurled a no-hitter.
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AESB this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. #AESB Weekly Award Winners – March 29
Courtney Cashman, UMass Lowell – Sr., Shortstop, Danvers, Mass.
- Record a 2.600 OPS in a 5-0 week for UML.
- Slashed .600, .800, 1.800 with 4 home runs, nine RBI, 10 runs scored and 10 walks.
- This is Cashman’s second Player of the Week award of the season.
Pitcher of the Week
Dawn Bodrug, Stony Brook – Sr., Pitcher, Georgetown, Ont.
- Went 2-0 and didn’t allow a run in 12 innings pitched.
- Allowed just one hit and fanned.
- Threw a no-hitter with 14 stirkeouts in league opener vs. Binghamton
- This is Bodrug’s second Pitcher of the Week award of the season and third of her career.
Rookie of the Week
Zoe Truxon, Hartford – Fr., Outfielder, King George, Va.
- Went 2-for-3 with an RBI in her collegiate debut, a win over Seton Hall.
- This is Truxon’s first career Rookie of the Week honor.
