BOSTON – Conference continued with a pair of contests this week last week with UAlbany and NJIT both going 2-0, while UNH won its lone contest of the week. More than a quarter of the way through league play, the standings are tight at the top with the Highlanders alone in first place at 4-1 and four other teams (UAlbany, UMBC, UMass Lowell, Vermont) just a half game back at 3-1)
Every game matters as the top four teams in the standings at the end of the regular season earn home court advantage the Air Force Reserve #AEPlayoffs.
Need to Know
- UAlbany went 2-0 last week posting wins over Binghamton and Vermont. The Great Danes have won three-straight games.
- The Great Danes knocked UVM from the ranks of the conference unbeatens with a 75-68 win on Monday. The victory snapped UAlbany’s 10-game losing streak vs. the Catamounts.
- NJIT dominated Bryant en route to a 79-55 win on Monday. With the win, the Highlanders improve to 4-1 in America East play and it marks their best start in conference play in their first five games in program history.
- UNH snapped a five-game losing streak and picked up its first league win with a 65-48 victory over Maine on Monday.
Looking Ahead:
- UMBC (3-1) and NJIT (4-1) meet in Catonsville on Thursday with first place in the standings on the line. Tip off is at 6 p.m.
- Also on Thursday, UMass Lowell hosts Vermont in a battle of 3-1 teams.
- Saturday’s slate is highlighted by NJIT (4-1) at UAlbany (3-1) and UMBC (3-1) at Vermont (3-1).

- Averaged 23.5 points, 5.5 assists & 4.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week for UAlbany
- Had 23 points, seven assists and four rebounds in a win over Binghamton on Thursday.
- Scored 24 points and added four rebounds and four assists in a win over Vermont on Monday.
- This is Lindsey’s first career #AEHoops Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Tyler Bike, New Hampshire – Fr., Guard, Merrimack, N.H.
- Scored 10 points and added four rebounds, four assists and two steals in lone game of the week, a win at Maine on Monday.
- Shot 4-of-7 from the field in a career-high 29 minutes of action.
- This is Bike’s first career #AEHoops Rookie of the Week honor.
