BOSTON - Two #AEXC programs competed this weekend in two different competitions. UMass Lowell traveled to the Hartford Invitational while the Bryant Bulldogs hosted the Shawn M. Nassaney Invitational.
The Bryant cross country team opened up the 2025 season with multiple stand out performances. Jasmine Trott and Chloe Whiting completed the 5,000-meter race under 18 minutes for the second year in a row. Casey Curran rounded out the top five for Bryant helping secure the win on the women’s side. The Riverhawks had a successful weekend at the Hartford Invitational. Freshman Gracie Richard crossed the finish line in 10th place with a mark of 11:34.7 in the 3k.
This coming weekend UMBC and UAlbany will be on the road competing in the Navy Invite and the Jasper Invitational on Saturday.

Female Performer of the Week
Jasmine Trott, Bryant – Sr., Garforth, Leeds, UK
- Took the individual title in the 5,000-meter race, winning the event in under 18 minutes for the second year in a row.
- Finished in 17:54.2 for a 5:46.5 pace.
- Earned third career Performer of the Week honor.
Female Rookie of the Week
Gracie Richard, UMass Lowell – Fr., Weymouth, Mass
- Finished 10th in the Hartford Invitational with an average pace of 6:12.6.
- Richard covered the women's 3,000-meter course in a time of 11:34.70.
- This is Richard’s first #AEXC Rookie of the Week honor.
Male Performer of the Week
Aiden Masse, Bryant – Sr., Norton, Mass
- Masse finished in the top 10 of the men’s 5k.
- He crossed the finish line with a time of 16:01.10 and a 5:10.1 pace.
- This is Masse’s first Performer of the Week honor.
Male Rookie of the Week
Jack Moir, Bryant – Fr., Arlington, Mass.
- Finished in 17th place at the Nassaney Invitational, helping the Bulldogs to a third place finish.
- Finished the 5k course in 16:16.0 for a 5:14.9 pace.
