BOSTON – The America East still boasts three unbeaten programs and six of the league’s eight teams own a record of .500 or better after another solid week of play
Bryant (4-0-1) won its fourth straight game this past Saturday with a shutout of No. 20 UMass, after blanking Dartmouth earlier in the week. UMBC earned a draw to move to 4-0-1, while No. 9 Vermont improved to 3-0-2 with a 3-1 victory over Lehigh.
Need to Know:
- The Bulldogs limited UMass to just three shots on goal at home, improving to 4-0-1 as Enzo Carvalho made three saves for a third straight shutout victory.
- Vermont earned an impressive 3-1 victory over Lehigh with three first-half goals to improve to 3-0-2.
- UMBC moved to 4-0-1 with a 1-1 draw at William & Mary, while UMass Lowell improved to 3-1-1 with a 2-1 victory at Holy Cross
- UAlbany is 2-1-1 following its 3-0 shutout of Rhode Island, while Binghamton is 3-3 after a 3-2 victory at Le Moyne.
This week features ten more non-conference contests. Vermont plays host to Dartmouth and then No. 11 Akron on Saturday, while UMass Lowell hosts No. 20 UMass on Wednesday and then the Minutemen travel north to face UNH on Saturday. Bryant faces Providence in its lone game while UMBC hosts Old Dominion.

- Scored twice in a 46-second span to lift Binghamton to a 3-2 victory at Le Moyne on Sunday.
- This is Randazzo’s first #AEMSOC Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Defensive Player & Rookie of the Week
Enzo Carvalho, Bryant – Gr., Goalkeeper, Florianopólis, Brazil
- Recorded a pair of shutouts with six saves in a 2-0 week.
- Made three saves and faced nine shots as Bryant took down No. 20 UMass 1-0 on the road Saturday.
- This is Carvalho’s first #AEMSOC Defensive Player of the Week honor this season.
Rookie of the Week
Tommy McFadden, UAlbany – Fr., Goalkeeper, Guatemala City, Guatemala
- Scored first career goal in a 3-0 shutout of Rhode Island.
- Headed in a free kick to provide a 2-0 lead in the second half.
- This is McFadden’s first #AEMSOC Defensive Player of the Week honor this season.

The America East is one of the best men’s soccer conferences in the country and home to the defending national champions from Vermont. In 2024, the Catamounts led the nation in RPI and the America East finish fifth as a conference. It marked the league’s second straight top-six finish in RPI. Overall The conference has received multiple bids to the NCAA tournament in four of the past nine seasons. Four different teams have reached the third round of the NCAA tournament since 2014.
