BOSTON - Albany, California, Maine, Stanford and Vermont won conference games over the weekend with the sixth-ranked Great Danes winning a pair of contests to improve to 9-1 on the season. 

Here are the week six award winners:

Player of the Week
Paula Heuser, Albany - Jr., Midfielder, Mochengladbach, Germany

  • Tallied six points in a pair of Albany conference wins over the weekend.
  • Had five points in the Great Danes' 3-1 win over Vermont Friday, scoring twice and adding an assist.
  • Registered an assist in Albany's 4-1 win over New Hampshire Sunday.
  • This is Heuser's third Player of the Week honor of the season and seventh of her career.

Defensive Player of the Week
Kori Griswold, California - So., Goalkeeper, San Diego, Calif.

  • Posted a shutout in Cal's 1-0 win over UC Davis Sunday.
  • Made four saves.
  • This is Griswold's second Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season. She also won the award Sept. 21. 

Rookie of the Week
Libby Riedl, Maine - Fr., Midfielder, Port Moody, B.C.

  • Had a goal and an assist in Maine's lone game of the week, a 4-3 overtime victory over UMass Lowell Friday.
  • Scored Maine's second goal to trim UMass Lowell's lead to one.
  • Riedl is the third different Black Bear to earn Rookie of the Week honors and the fourth in a row overall.

  • Albany (2), California, Maine, Stanford and Vermont won conference games over the weekend.
  • The sixth-ranked Great Danes beat Vermont, 3-1, behind two goals and an assist from Paula Heuser Friday then handled New Hampshire, 4-1 Sunday.
  • Danielle Aviani's overtime goal on a break away gave Maine a 4-3 win over UMass Lowell Friday.
  • Maine is 10-2 on the season, matching last season's win total with eight regular-season games remaining.
  • The Black Bears have outscored opponents, 47-15, this season.
  • Cal improved to 2-0 in America East play with a 1-0 win over UC Davis Sunday while Stanford picke dup its first league win, a 2-1 victory over the Aggies Friday.
  • Vermont snapped a three-game losing skid with a 3-2 win over UMass Lowell Sunday.
  • America East teams are a combined 50-36 in non-conference action this season.
  • America East and the ACC are the only leagues with multiple teams ranked in the nation's top six (#6 Albany, #10 Stanford).
  • Albany's Paula Heuser ranks fourth in the country averaging 2.9 points per game.
  • Four more conference contests take place this weekend.
