Q. Why I Chose Stony Brook University:
A- I chose Stony Brook University because it had a great combination of athletics and academics. I loved that it had a family atmosphere and it was close to home for me.


Q. Favorite class and why:
A- I really like my Jrn 210 class with Charles Haddad. I learned so much and even though it was very challenging, it brought out the best in me.


Q. One thing I have learned at Stony Brook that I will carry with me for the rest of my life is:
A- One thing that I have learned at Stony Brook that I will carry with me for the rest of my life is to follow exactly what your heart and passion are directing you to do. I have learned not to alter my dreams, ambitions, or goals for anything.


Q. My Dream Job, other than the NBA/WNBA, is:
A- My dream job after college would be a broadcast sports journalist or a beat reporter for either the Knicks or Lakers.


Q. The person, other than my parents, who has had the most influence on me is, and why:
A- The person who has had the most influence on me is my Aunt Sarah. She has instilled values in me and taught me so much about life. My whole family has influenced me in some way.


Q. The best thing about being a Stony Brook Seawolf is:
A- The best thing about being a Stony Brook Seawolf is that you get to become part of a second family, partaking in something bigger than yourself.


Q. Most memorable moment as an athlete:
A- My most memorable moments as an athlete are the AAU days when we would travel and compete against tough competition, be far from home and bond as a team.


Q. What I did this week as a student (classes, tests, projects, study hall):
A- This week as a student I didn’t have too much to do because we are not in school yet. I do write for our school newspaper, The Statesman, and I cover the men’s basketball games. We played Maine on Thursday so I covered the game and had the press conference after.


Q. What I did this week as an athlete (practice, games):
A- Last week we only had 1 game since coming home from California. We played Boston and played well in the first half but couldn’t come away with the win. We had a day off and then it was back to preparing for Vermont.


Q. Based upon my experiences growing up, my advice for young kids about school and athletics is:
A- My advice for young kids about school and athletics is to know how to prioritize. You need to understand that you can use athletics to help further your dreams but ultimately, school is what matters most.


Q. Why I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championship:
A- I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championships because it will give us a chance to prove to everyone how hard we’ve been working.
