? Albany earned a No. 13 seed in the NCAA South Regional and traveled to Columbus, Ohio where the Great Danes fell to No. 4 seed Virginia.
? Regular-season champion Vermont participated in the NIT, where the Catamounts dropped a 59-57 decision at Kansas State. It was the fourth time in five years America East had placed multiple teams into the postseason.

? Sophomore Mike Trimboli scored a team-high 17 points and added eight assists and six rebounds to lead Vermontto a stunning upset over 14th-ranked Boston College 77-63 at Conte Forum. The win was Vermont’s second ever over a ranked opponent (Syracuse) and first over an Atlantic Coast Conference school.
? The Seawolves sold out Stony Brook Arena for just the second time against the Big East’s Villanova in a game that was shown regionally on Madison Square Garden Network.
? Martin Klimes of Vermont and Brian Hodges of UMBC were named to the Division I-AAA Athletic Directors Association All-Academic team.
? Mike Lonergan was one of seven current college coaches to travel to Kuwait for a six-day tour in late May. The trip was part of “Operation Hardwood IV,” organized by the United Services Organization, to help boost morale among U.S. Troops serving in the Middle East. Former America East Coach of the Year Mike Brey, now the head coach at Notre Dame, was also part of the tour.
? America East teams combined to win 29 non-conference road games in 2006-07, compared to just nine during the 2005-06 campaign.
