America East Commissioner Brad Walker announced on February 28 the hiring of Stephanie Scarpato Wiltey as the conference’s new Senior Associate Commissioner, Internal Operations. Scarpato Wiltey, who has served as Assistant Commissioner/SWA at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference for the past two years.

 
“We are excited to welcome Stephanie to our staff as she distinguished herself apart from other candidates during the interview process,” said Walker. “She will make an immediate impact on our staff as we focus on continuing to provide exceptional service to our member institutions.”

At the CACC, Scarpato Wiltey served in multiple roles. She had oversight of day-to-day finances, sport administration duties and was the liaison to SWAs, compliance officers, athletic trainers and SAAC. In addition to her duties at the CACC, Scarpato Wiltey also served as Commissioner of the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference and Assistant Commissioner of the New England Hockey Conference. She also had past stops as Senior Associate Athletic Director at Wesleyan University and Coordinator of Sport Administration at the ECAC.

At America East, Scarpato Wiltey will oversee all internal and financial operations for the conference, including the conference budget, financial resources and business operations. She will also oversee human resources and administer select sports.
 
Scarpato Wiltey earned her undergraduate degree from Colby College, where she was a women’s ice hockey student-athlete, in 2011. She also earned her master’s in business administration from Endicott College, where she also served as an athletics graduate assistant, in 2017.
