DURHAM, N.H. – The first-ever America East Health & Safety Summit will take place next week, June 13-14, at the University of New Hampshire. The summit, the latest initiative of the conference’s #3Pillars Academy, will focus on the enhancement of student-athlete well-being on each of America East's campuses.
Over 60 attendees from all nine America East institutions will attend the Health & Safety Summit creating an opportunity for them to hear from esteemed speakers in the field as well as discuss relevant issues and share ideas and best practices. Attendees will include member institutions’ athletic trainers, team physicians, student-athlete services professionals and administrators.
The summit, the first step in a continued focus of student-athlete well-being across the conference, will welcome national leaders in the sports medicine field to speak and educate on a wide range of topics including mental health, nutrition, concussion and head trauma, drug testing, sudden cardiac arrest and more.

The #3Pillars Academy, formerly the Continuing Ed Program, focuses on providing professional development and educational opportunities to administrators and coaches from both inside and outside the conference.
