BOSTON - The second America East women's tennis Player of the Week honor was awarded on Wednesday as the conference's five teams, Albany, Binghamton, Hartford, UMBC and Stony Brook, continue to start up their seasons.

Player of the Week
Maria Siopacha, UMBC - Fr., Limassol, Cyprus
- Siopacha won all four matches as UMBC (2-5) blanked both Hartford and Fairfield this weekend in Connecticut.
- She defeated Hartford’s Skylar Schaar, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles and combined with senior Shannon Cleary to triumph, 6-1, at No. 2 doubles.
- Siopacha has seven wins on the spring, sweeping singles and doubles vs. Texas-Rio Grande Valley and capturing a doubles match vs. GW.
