BOSTON - The first America East women's tennis Player of the Week honor was issued on Wednesday as the conference's five teams, Albany, Binghamton, Hartford, UMBC and Stony Brook, ramp up in their seasons. The 2016 America East Championship takes place April 29 - May 1 at Wild Lakes Tennis Club in Columbia, Md.

Alba Sala, Albany - Jr., Barcelona, Spain

• Posted three win last week in matches vs. UConn and Cornell.
• Won matches at top doubles and No. 4 singles in Albany's 4-3 win over UConn.
• Took her singles match vs. Cornell .
