America East's newest web feature, #AEToday, will offer quick hits on what's happening in the conference, including upcoming conference games, key results, must know facts and much more!

Need To Know

  • Softball season begins on Friday with UMBC and UMass Lowell playing doubleheaders on Friday. UMBC battles Southern Illinois and Charleston Southern in Charleston, S.C. while UMass Lowell takes on Bethune-Cookman and College of Charleston in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
  • UMass Lowell snapped a five-game skid and matched their win total from last year with a 67-51 victory over UMBC. The River Hawks are 10-13 overall and 4-6 in the conference.
  • Men's and women's lacrosse open play on Saturday with three men's teams and one women's team taking the field.
  • Seven America East hoops games are set for Saturday, including a men's ESPN3 matchup between Vermont and Stony Brook.
