- Softball season begins on Friday with UMBC and UMass Lowell playing doubleheaders on Friday. UMBC battles Southern Illinois and Charleston Southern in Charleston, S.C. while UMass Lowell takes on Bethune-Cookman and College of Charleston in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
