#AEToday: Baseball Season Opens Friday

America East's newest web feature, #AEToday, will offer quick hits on what's happening in the conference, including upcoming conference games, key results, must know facts and much more!

Need To Know

  • The America East Swimming & Diving Championships continue on AmericaEast.TV at 10 a.m.
  • Baseball season opens on Friday and three America East teams hit the road for series. Binghamton is at Auburn, Stony Brook travels to Nicholls State and Maine battles Milwaukee in Winter Haven, Fla. Binghamton and Auburn will be on ESPN3 at 4 p.m.
  • Albany plays the lone #AEHoops game with a non-conference tilt at NJIT at 7 pm.
  • Softball continues play on Friday with eight games scheduled. Maine opens its season against Jacksonville State and North Florida, while Binghamton plays its first pair of games against Boston College and Georgia Southern. UMass Lowell and UMBC also get back on the field after opening plays last weekend.
  • Vermont men clinched a home #AEPlayoffs game with a historic shooting performance against UMass Lowell on Thursday. The Catamounts were 16-of-21 from 3-point range, the bet shooting performance for any team in the country in five years.
  • Shereesha Richards hit the 30-point plateau for the fourth time in six games with 35 vs. Binghamton as the Great Danes improved to 11-1 in #AEHoops.
  • Maine has won 10-straight games after beating UMass Lowell Thursday night.
