  • Hartford, Maine and New Hampshire clinched spots in the 2015 America East Women's Soccer Championship last night while Albany and Binghamton also posted wins also with the Hawks and Black Bears. 
    • Julia Carr converted a pair of penalty kicks to lift a 2-0 win over New Hampshire and stay unbeaten in America East play (4-0-3). - Recap
      • The Hawks will be seeded no worse than No. 2 for the upcoming championship and will host a semifinal contest on Sunday, Nov. 1.
      • Despite the loss, New Hampshire, the reigning conference champion, secured a tournament bid by virture of UMBC's loss.
    • Charline Achille netted two second-half goals ot power Maine to a 2-0 win over Stony Brook and secure a tournament bid. - Recap
    • Albany scored three times in the second half and had four different goal scorers overall as it beat UMass Lowell, 4-0, to move into a tie for fourth place in the conference standings. - Recap

    • Binghamton shutout UMBC, 1-0, behind a six-save performance from Katie Hatziyianis to stay alive in the postseason race.
      •  The Bearcats extended their unbeaten streak to three games (2-0-1) with the win after dropping 11 of their first 13 contests of the season.
  • Three key conference field hockey clashes take place Friday, including a battle of nationally ranked teams.
    • #10 Albany hosts #18 Maine at 1p.m. on AmericaEast.TV in a game that will go a long way towards determining Eastern Division seeding for the America East Championship.
      • The Black Bears (5-0 AE East) handed the Great Danes (4-1 AE East) a 6-2 loss just two weeks ago in the two teams first meeting in Orono.
    • Vermont hosts New Hampshire at 2 p.m. on AmericaEast.TV.
      • The Wildcats, who can secure a spot in the America East Championsihp with a win, won the first meeting, 3-1, on Oct. 9.
    • #13 Stanford hosts UC Davis at 9 p.m. EDT. The Cardinal won the first meeting, 2-1, on Oct. 2
  • Just one conference volleyball match takes place Friday with Albany hosting Binghamton at 1 p.m. on ESPN3.
  • The men's basketball preseason poll and all-conference team was announced on Thursday.
