CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- America East Commissioner Amy Huchthausen announced today that Erin Iwaskiewicz will join the conference staff as its Associate Director of Video and Creative Services. Iwaskiewicz, America East’s first full-time staff member devoted to video, has spent the last three years as Lehigh University’s Multimedia and Broadcast Director.
“We are thrilled to bring Erin on as the conference’s first full-time staff member devoted to multimedia endeavors,” said Huchthausen. “Erin’s background and expertise in visual media will strengthen our staff and be a key asset for the conference going forward as we look to expand our multimedia presence and continue to grow our brand awareness.”
In her new role, Iwaskiewicz will oversee all aspects of America East’s digital, video and multimedia production and work as a key member of the conference’s external relations team on the development and execution of its multimedia strategy. She will produce and maintain the conference’s video inventory, serve as the conference’s primary liaison to its member institution’s video personnel and also serve as the conference’s lead in-house graphic designer.
“I’m very excited about the opportunity to join the team at the America East Conference in a role that combines technology and the arts with athletics,” said Iwaskiewicz. “I look forward to working with our member institutions to increase exposure and create multimedia content that showcases student-athletes who are committed to excellence in the classroom as well as in sports”
While serving as Lehigh’s Multimedia and Broadcast Director, Iwaskiewicz oversaw the day-to-day operations of Lehigh’s multimedia department, developing the strategy and execution of all digital projects, including graphics, new media design, web enhancement and social media. Overseeing a full-time staff member and a student staff each semester, Iwaskiewicz, led the production of over 200 live broadcast and created and managed on-demand content for Lehigh Athletics. She also served as the department’s lead creative director, designing graphics for use on multiple platforms and developing and executing the delivery strategy to best enhance the university’s brand.
Prior to joining Lehigh’s administrative staff, Iwaskiewicz was an assistant women’s soccer coach for the Mountain Hawks, where she played for four years and was an All-Patriot League performer. She also was an assistant at Bucknell and an art teacher previously.
