HARTFORD,
Conn. – Season seven of America East On Campus, the conference’s
half hour magazine show highlighting what’s happening around the conference,
concludes this weekend on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 11:30 a.m. on Comcast SportsNet
throughout New England with subsequent airings on CSN and the Mid Atlantic
Sports Network (MASN).
The season’s final episode is set on campus at the
University of Hartford where we meet up with host Eric Frede, who goes all
access with the Hawks’ men’s lacrosse team as it begins its title defense.
Episode four also previews the upcoming America East Men’s and Women’s
Basketball Championship held at Hartford’s Chase Family Arena. Tournament
action, featuring all 18 conference basketball teams, begins March 1.
Frede also visits Binghamton University to chat with
All-America track athlete, Erik Van Ingen. The senior distance runner talks
about his feature length documentary and storied track career as a Bearcat.
Finally, the show recaps the 2012 America East Indoor Track and Field
Championship held at Boston University’s Track and Tennis Center. Albany won
its seventh consecutive men’s title last weekend and the Boston U. women
captured their fifth title in seven years.
America East On Campus is produced by Cod Rock Media of
Kittery, Maine, which is owned by Frede and Dan Hannigan. Four original
episodes will be produced and distributed this year. Comcast SportsNet in New
England will debut all four episodes, while several re-airings will also air on
the network. MASN, located in the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area, will also
carry the show, as will Time Warner Cable in New York.
The show will also be available in the All-Access section of AmericaEast.com
and on the conference's YouTube page following the debut airing. IPhone and
Android users with the America East On the Go premium app can also watch the
show on those devices.
