ESSEX, N.Y.- Seventy-five middle and high school students will take
part in leadership training at Boston University on Tuesday, December 4th.
Boston University Scholar Athletes
and College For Every Student (CFES) Program Directors will provide leadership
training and college exposure for students from Boston, Lynn, MA and
Connecticut.
The
essence of CFES is the engagement of each CFES Scholar, as targeted students
are known, in three high-impact practices: Pathways to College, Mentoring, and
Leadership Through Service.
“Leadership
skills help students gain the self-confidence and resilience they need to not
just get to college but to be successful there,” said CFES President & CEO
Rick Dalton.

Who: 75 middle and high school students and faculty from Thurgood, Marshall Middle School, Jackson Mann, East Boston High School, and Windsor Locks Middle School (CT).

underserved students prepare for, gain access to, and succeed in college.
Currently, CFES works with 200 schools in 24 states to help its 20,000 students
