Binghamton University's men's tennis team and Boston University's women's squad, which both won America East Championships just two weeks ago, had their seasons come to an end at the hand of ranked ACC opponents in NCAA tournament action over the weekend.

The 47th-ranked Bearcats dropped a 4-1 decision to No. 24 Georgia Tech in Lexington, Ky. on May 15, while the Terriers fell to No. 11 Miami, 4-0, in Coral Gables, Fla. on May 14.

In Lexington, Binghamton's Arnav Jain earned a victory of fifth singles, the first for any America East men's or women's player in the NCAA tournament. The Bearcats also picked up a win at No. 2 doubles and junior Sven Vloedgraven, the two-time America East Player of the Year, took the first set from the fourth-ranked player in the country at top singles, before the match was halted in the second set.

The Bearcats' loss was their first in 21 matches after they ran off a school-record 20 straight victories. Binghamton won a school-record 25 matches and achieved its highest ranking (43) in school history.

In Coral Gables, Miami, which featured four ranked singles players and two ranked doubles squads, disposed of Boston U. with identical 8-1 wins at first and third singles and 6-0, 6-0 victories at second, fourth and fifth singles.

The Terriers were competing in their 12th-straight NCAA tournament after winning its 21st America East title..
