America East today
released episode two of its latest new media initiative, "America East
Online". America East Online is a 20-minute web-only show which features
all nine of the conference's campuses and highlights athletics, academics and
leadership.
The second episode of America East Online begins with a look at the
upcoming America East Field Hockey Championships. As part of the preview for
the championship in Durham, N.H., the show discusses the four participants and
includes interview with New Hampshire head coach Robin Balducci and senior
midfielder Kara Connolly.
The show continues with a look at men's soccer. This segment
opens with a look at the six participants in the upcoming America East
Championship. Following the preview of quarterfinal action, this portion of the
episode concludes with interviews with UMBC men's soccer coach Pete Caringi and
Boston University men's soccer coach Neil Roberts.
Up next is a preview of the upcoming America East women's
soccer championship game between Boston University and Maine. After
highlighting the semifinal action, the championship game is previewed through
interviews with Maine women's soccer head coach Scott Atherley and Boston
University junior defender Lina Cords.
Finally, the show concludes with the Best of U. feature.
Best of U. highlights the accomplishments of America East student-athletes away
from the playing surface. In this episode, the fundraising efforts for breast
cancer research and awareness by three different teams are profiled.
The show, hosted
by America East's Max Mandel, will be available on Wednesdays at least every
other week throughout the academic year, including weekly during the basketball
season. Fans can watch the web show at the America East Zone on
AmericaEast.com, as well as on the league's social media web sites such as
YouTube and Facebook.
