Golf Washed Out Last Week; Gearing Up For Roar-ee and Hartford Invitationals - AmericaEast.com

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- With soggy weather in the Northeast last week, no America East teams were able to complete a full round of golf. Since no teams were able to compete, there is not a Performer of the Week this week.

Hartford and Boston University were rained out in their only action last week.

The Hawks were scheduled to play Central Connecticut State University and Boston University in a tri-match at Wethersfield Country Club, but less than nine holes into the round the tournament was canceled. The Hawks will next host the Hartford Invitational on April 20-21 at Rockledge Golf Course in West Hartford, Conn.  Included in the field of nine teams are Albany, Central Connecticut State, Fairfield, Hampton, Lehigh, Mount St. Mary’s, Sacred Heart and Wagner.

The Terriers will return to action on Friday (April 17) and Saturday (April 18) at the Roar-ee Invitational in Suffren, N.Y. Columbia will be hosting the event.

Albany was not scheduled to compete last week and will join the Hawks at the Hartford Invitational next week.

The America East Championship is now less than two weeks away. Albany will host the event at the Shaker Ridge Country Club in Loudonville, N.Y. on Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26.
