Three Things I Can’t Live Without:
1. My IPhone ? It has all of my music on it which I love to listen to.  It also connects me to everyone that I know.      2. My winter coat ? I’m from North Carolina and as you can imagine, it doesn’t get very cold down there.  Well...it is really cold up here in Vermont and I don’t think I could make it without a good coat.      3. My computer ? my computer happens to be broken right now and I now realize how hard it is for me to get any of my work done.  I really depend on my computer.  I understand the value of backing up all of my work.

Q. Why I Chose University of Vermont:
A-  When I came to visit, I realized what a great town Burlington is and appreciated all that it has to offer.  UVM is a great school and I was looking for a college that has a great academic reputation.  UVM also has a great basketball program that has a shot to win the America East each year and making it to the NCAA tournament.

Q. Favorite class and why:
A- I am taking this class called “The American Political System” that is really cool.  I am very interested in the U.S. Government and how effective it has been at adapting to change while maintaining its founding principles over the past 200 plus years.

Q. One thing I have learned at UVM that I will carry with me for the rest of my life is:
A- I have learned how to persevere in the face of adversity.  Everything in life isn’t going to go how you have planned it.  I realized now that how you deal with disappointment matters as much or more than how you react to success.   Learning to overcome obstacles is key.  If you can do that, you always seem to come out stronger on the other side.

Q. My Dream Job, other than the NBA/WNBA, is:
A-  I would like to be a General Manager of an NBA franchise.  My other dream job is to become a lawyer.  I hope to attend law school after my basketball career is over.

Q. The person, other than my parents, who has had the most influence on me is, and why:
A-  My AAU coach, Vic Sapp, had a great influence on me and a whole generation of other kids.  He passed away just over a year ago.   He put so much time and effort into the AAU program where I live.  He made a lot of sacrifices to help the kids in my area that really needed his help and guidance.  He was a terrific individual.

Q. The best thing about being a Vermont Catamount is:
A- Without question, it’s the fans.  We have such loud and vocal fans.  It is great to play on front of a packed house at all of our home games.  They make a huge difference when it comes to having a home court advantage.

Q. Most memorable moment as an athlete:
A- I really remember our loss in last year’s America East semi-final game.  We were leading most of the game only to lose it right at the very end.  It was a feeling that I will never forget.

Q. What I did this week as a student (classes, tests, projects, study hall):
A- I had a ton of reading in almost every class.  I probably have read close to 200 pages of text the past few days.  I had a couple of quizzes and I had to write a paper so far this week.  And the week is only half over.  The first round of tests are coming next week so most of my free time between now and then will be spent preparing for them.

Q. What I did this week as an athlete (practice, games):
A-  We have had practice almost everyday this week.  We did take a day off after our last game.  After every game we watch the films of the game so that we can improve.  The team spent some time in strength and conditioning making sure we stay strong throughout the season.  We had a game at UNH on Sat and we play Binghamton at home this Wednesday.  It is going to be a very busy week.

Q. Based upon my experiences growing up, my advice for young kids about school and athletics is:
A- I would advise kids to find something that you love, something that you are passionate about and then commit yourself to it.  It doesn’t matter what it is, but the act of committing yourself 100% to something helps you in all the things that you do.  Some people go their entire life never having experience the good feelings that comes from the hard work of commitment.

Q. Why I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championship:
A- I am looking forward to cutting down the nets at the America East Championships.
