Q. Favorite class and why:
A- I really liked my Sign Language class with Melissa Scali. It has been my favorite class that I have taken so far at Stony Brook. Melissa is a great instructor and sign language is a fun language to learn that not many people know but is useful in the future.

Q. The best thing about being a Stony Brook Seawolf is:
A- The best thing about being a Stony Brook Seawolf is the people who surround you are incredible. The other athletes and staff both involved in athletics or not are terrific and some of the best people I have met. They are a pleasure to be around every day and I’m not sure if other schools have the amazing people that Stony Brook has.

Q. What I did this week as a student (classes, tests, projects, study hall):
A- This week we started our spring semester and since classes just started, I had to get my schedule situated and had to get to know my professors. I also tried to get a jump start on the courses I am taking since I will be missing a lot of classes this semester because of basketball.
Q. What I did this week as an athlete (practice, games):
A- We beat UMBC at home 78-62, winning our second straight game in conference play. Since it was a doubleheader with our men’s team, I got to watch them beat UMBC the same night. I also went to the swim meet before our game to support the swim team since they support us so much.
Q. Based upon my experiences growing up, my advice for young kids about school and athletics is:
A- My advice for young kids about school and athletics is always try hard, both on and off the court, in everything that you do. You cannot succeed fully if you do not work hard in the classroom first.
Q. Why I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championship:
A- I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championships because after all of my team’s hard work this season, it will be time to prove ourselves. Also, it’s been a tough season for me and I’ve pushed through, but I don’t want the season to end at the America East tournament. I want to continue playing in the NCAA tournament, something the women’s basketball team at Stony Brook has never done.
