Q. Why I Chose Stony Brook University:
A-  I chose Stony Brook University because of Coach Pikiell and Stony Brook’s location. Coach Pikiell wants to win here and put this program on the map and I want to be a part of it. Stony Brook’s location on Long Island made it a perfect fit for me.

Q. Favorite class and why:
A- Even though I’ve only been to it a few times since school just started last week, I really like my Psychology 103 class with Richard Gerrig. I am a Psychology major and this class is really interesting so far.

Q. One thing I have learned at Stony Brook that I will carry with me for the rest of my life is:
A- The one thing I have learned at Stony Brook that I will carry with me for the rest of my life is you only achieve out of life what you put in.

Q. My Dream Job, other than the NBA/WNBA, is:
A- My dream job, other than the NBA, is to be a zoo keeper

Q. The person, other than my parents, who has had the most influence on me is, and why:
A- The person who has had the most influence on me other than my parents is my first coach Lloyd Gardner. I was the worst player on the team my first year that he coached me, but he believed in me and made me better. His work paid off because he made me good enough for Coach Pikiell to see me and offer me a scholarship.

Q. The best thing about being a Stony Brook Seawolf is:
A- The best thing about being a Stony Brook Seawolf is being part of a united athletic community. We are all part of one big family and it’s nice to feel a part of something.

Q. Most memorable moment as an athlete:
A- My most memorable moment as an athlete so far at Stony Brook was when we played UConn. I scored 20 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in that game.

Q. What I did this week as a student (classes, tests, projects, study hall):
A- We just started the spring semester so we made sure to get our books and attended the first week of class. I already had a paper due for my Writing class and one for my Leadership class so I made sure to get those done in study hall since we were going on the road to Maine. Our advisor makes sure we get our homework done before we leave for a trip so when we get back we are all caught up. My Psychology class covers a chapter a week so I will need to make sure I keep up with the reading in that class.

Q. What I did this week as an athlete (practice, games):
A- This week as an athlete we’ve had 3 games. We played Hartford at home the day all of the students came back and we won that game. We then had New Hampshire at home but lost. I got sick and wasn’t able to play against UMBC on Saturday but my teammates pulled through and beat UMBC. We’ve never swept UMBC so it was great to beat them twice in one season.

Q. Based upon my experiences growing up, my advice for young kids about school and athletics is:
A- Based upon my experiences growing up, my advice for young kids about school and athletics is that you need to spend equal time on both academics and athletics. It’s so easy to spend all your time on the thing you love, but if you don’t spend time on school, you may not be able to continue playing. If my grades weren’t like they are, I wouldn’t have been able to come to the United States and play for Stony Brook.

Q. Why I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championship:
A- I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championship because it will take our program one step closer to being elite.
