Q. Why I Chose Stony Brook University:
A- I chose Stony Brook University because it had a great combination of athletics and academics. When I graduate from Stony Brook people will value my diploma and know I acquired a quality education.


Q. Favorite class and why:
A- I really liked my Thr 105 class with Lydia Franco-Hodges. I never thought that I would have acting ability but that class made me find my hidden acting talent. She was a great teacher and I was even chosen to perform my scene at Scene Night.


Q. One thing I have learned at Stony Brook that I will carry with me for the rest of my life is:
A- One thing that I have learned at Stony Brook that I will carry with me for the rest of my life is if I continue to work hard in every aspect of my life, good things will follow.


Q. My Dream Job, other than the NBA/WNBA, is:
A- My dream job after college would be an Athletic Trainer for the NBA.


Q. The person, other than my parents, who has had the most influence on me is, and why:
A- The people who have had the most influence on me are my older sisters, Mechel and Moneque. They both graduated from college and they continue to give me advice on how to succeed in life.


Q. The best thing about being a Stony Brook Seawolf is:
A- The best thing about being a Stony Brook Seawolf is Wolfie the mascot.


Q. Most memorable moment as an athlete:
A- My most memorable moment as an athlete is averaging 30+ minutes per game. I’ve strived to play well and now I can add that moment to my achievements. One thing I wish I could forget is all of the running during practice ? right now that is very memorable.


Q. What I did this week as a student (classes, tests, projects, study hall):
A- This week we started the spring semester, but we had a game against Albany and had to miss the first 2 days of school. We met with our academic advisor over the weekend to prepare for missing class and emailed all of our teachers letting them know. We also got our books so we could come back from our game caught up.


Q. What I did this week as an athlete (practice, games):
A- We’ve had three games this past week and got our first conference win against Albany. I scored 17 points in that game and we all played hard. We had Sunday off so it was nice to relax.


Q. Based upon my experiences growing up, my advice for young kids about school and athletics is:
A- My advice for young kids about school and athletics is that they should not get distracted by anything that will mess up a great opportunity for them to succeed in college. College opens up so many doors for you in life and if you don’t do well in high school, college may not be an option and it would be a missed opportunity.


Q. Why I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championship:
A- I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championships because if we win it will give us a chance to experience the energy of the NCAA tournament.
