Three Things I Can’t Live Without:
1. My mom    2. My girlfriend    3. My faith

Q. Why I Chose University of Hartford:
A- (Assistant) Coach Gerlufsen was the one who recruited me, and he’s probably the biggest reason why I came to Hartford. He’s a good coach and really keeps after me, trying to make me a better person and player. When I made my visit to Hartford, I remember thinking the weather was terrible?nothing like Texas?but at least the coaches were cool.

Q. Favorite class and why:
A- My favorite class so far has been sociology, because it gave me a different outlook on life. You get to see life from a completely different perspective. The class also gave me a chance to do a lot of tutoring with underprivileged children in the Hartford area, and it was something I really loved.

Q. One thing I have learned at University at Hartford that I will carry with me for the rest of my life is:
A- Being around so many different types of people has taught me that everybody doesn’t view the world the same as you do. It’s opened my eyes to how big the world really is.

Q. My Dream Job, other than the NBA/WNBA, is:
A- I want to be able to help children from rough communities in any way that I can. My dream job, though, would be principal of my old high school.

Q. The person, other than my parents, who has had the most influence on me is, and why:
A- My older brother Davion (five years older), because every time he messed up, he gave me an example of what not to do.

Q. The best thing about being a Hartford Hawk is:
A- Aside from all that comes with being on the basketball team, I’ve really enjoyed just being a college student?going to classes, meeting other people, hanging out and being carefree.

Q. Most memorable moment as an athlete:
A- I would say that last year’s America East Championship was probably my most memorable moment. Our team came together and played well over the first two rounds, and we made it to the title game for the first time in school history.

Q. What I did this week as a student (classes, tests, projects, study hall):
A- Classes are starting back up this week. I enjoyed the winter break, but now its time to get back to work. I’m taking five courses this semester, and I’ll go to my first two classes on Wednesday.

Q. What I did this week as an athlete (practice, games):
A- We just got back from a long trip where we played at UMBC and Binghamton. We lost both games but could have won them both. We shot around today and we’ll have practice on Wednesday, and on Thursday we play Vermont at home. Then we’ll have a couple of days to prepare for a road game at Stony Brook to end the week.

Q. Based upon my experiences growing up, my advice for young kids about school and athletics is:
A- Always follow your dreams and never give up.

Q. Why I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championship:
A- I always look forward to the competition at the tournament. It’s do-or-die, win or go home. If you’re still standing, then you truly deserve a spot in the NCAA Tournament. We almost got there last year, and I know we’ll try our hardest to take that final step this year.
