Q. Why I Chose Binghamton University:
A- I really like the campus, the people and the community. When I came on my visit to campus everyone really made me feel like a part of the team. All of these factors really made my decision easy.
Q. Favorite class and why:
A- All my Human Development Courses ? I like the discussion format that the teachers use. I really enjoy working in small groups because I it fits my learning style.
Q. One thing I have learned at Binghamton University that I will carry with me for the rest of my life is:
A- How to carry yourself. I learned that eyes are always on me and it’s important to always act like a role model, even when you think people aren’t paying attention.
Q. My Dream Job, other than the NBA/WNBA, is:
A- High School teacher or College professor in Math. After my basketball career is over I have been planning to teach back home in Texas.
Q. The person, other than my parents, who has had the most influence on me is, and why:
A- My 1st baseball coach. He was like a father figure for me and I grew up without many male role models. He has left a lasting impression on me.
Q. The best thing about being Binghamton Bearcat is:
A- I got to meet a number of new people and I can give back to the local community by working with kids and teachers. Since I really want to be a teacher I think this has been such a great experience. I am happy that being an athlete at Binghamton has given me these opportunities.
Q. Most memorable moment as an athlete:
A- Losing the regional finals in high school. For some reason that game has stuck with me for a really long time and I think it helps drive me to be better.
Q. What I did this week as a student (classes, tests, projects, study hall):
A-This was the first week of classes, so I met my professors and got the course materials that I needed. I just tried to get the last few classes in needed to graduate. I’m excited that this will be my last semester.
Q. What I did this week as an athlete (practice, games):
A- Practice and prepared for UMBC. As a team we are trying to focus on one game at a time.
Q. Based upon my experiences growing up, my advice for young kids about school and athletics is:
A- If you don’t study you can’t play. I have been at two schools and I can say for sure that if you don’t do well in class you will not play. I don’t think young kids understand what it takes to be successful both on the court and in the classroom.
Q. Why I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championship:
A- I would like to win a ring on every level, high school, community college and the Division I level.
