CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Boston University's Jeff Chudacoff and Albany's Susan Ma have been named the first America East Men's and Women's Tennis Performer of the Week for 2008, respectively. The honors were announced on Wednesday, March 6. The league will name a men's and women's performer each week from now through the America East Tennis Championship, set to take place April 25-27 at Yale University.
Chudacoff, a sophomore, is off to an 8-3 start in singles action this spring, including a perfect 5-0 at the second position. Chudacoff, who won seven of his first eight matches, has taken each match in straight sets. He is also 6-4 in doubles play and leads the Terriers with 14 overall wins.
Ma, a freshman, has a combined record of 16-3 this spring. She is 9-1 at second singles and 7-2 in double action, including wins over Georgetown, Providence and George Mason at the top position. Ma has won seven straight singles matches, including triumphs over the Hoyas, Patriots and conference foe UMBC.
