CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- The University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse program debuted in the Inside Lacrosse national rankings this week, while Boston University moved up to 11th after being ranked 16th last week.

The Wildcats (8-2) have won seven straight games and enter the Inside Lacrosse Women's Media Poll, which was released Monday, at No. 16. UNH, which has defeated a pair of ranked opponents during their current win streak, also cracked the IWLCA Poll for the first time, appearing at No. 18.

The Terriers moved five spots to No. 11 in the Inside Lacrosse Poll after winning three games in four days last week, including a 10-7 triumph over 10th-ranked Yale. Boston U. also climbed to 11th in the IWLCA Poll after being ranked 11th last week.

In men's lacrosse, UMBC (4-3) ascended to No. 12 in the Nike/Inside Lacrosse Media Poll after being ranked 13th a week ago. The Retrievers, who have won three straight, defeated Ohio State, which is ranked 19th this week, 12-11 in overtime on Saturday. UMBC stayed at No. 13 in the USILA Coaches' Poll.

Albany (1-5) received 21 votes in the Inside Lacrosse Poll and is the next closest team to the Top 20. The Great Danes upset No. 11 Princeton, 10-2, on Saturday to earn its first win of the campaign after four straight one-goal defeats. Stony Brook (4-3) received nine votes after being ranked No. 20 last week. The Seawolves have won three of its last four, including a 19-15 win over seventh-ranked Delaware on March 15.
