CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- Artem Baradach (Minsk, Belarus/Aumnasia) and Sandy Wijerante (Dubai, United Arab Emirates/ Wesley College) have been tabbed America East's Men's and Women's Performer of the Week as Stony Brook swept the honors for the week ending March 24.

Baradach, a freshman, won all three of his matches at top singles on the Seawolves trip to Florida last week. After dropping the first set in his first match on the trip against #59 Stetson, he came back toearn a 3-6, 7-6, 10-8 win. He then won matches against Florida Gulf Coast and New Jersey Tech in straight sets. Baradach, who is 14-4 this year at top singles, also scored one win in three tries in doubles play.

Wijeratne, a senior, won two singles matches last week and led in a third that was halted. She posted a straight-set victory over Drake (6-0, 6-2) and win against also posted a win over Florida Gulf Coast (6-2, 3-6, 6-4). Wijeratne, who leads SBU with 13 singles wins this season, also teamed with Paola Rodolfi to pick up a pair of doubles victories against Drake and Florida Gulf Coast.
