Q: Why I Chose Stony Brook University...
A: I chose Stony Brook University because I wanted to come to a school where I felt at home. The program is building so I felt like I would be part of the growth of the program. Stony Brook is ranked in the top 100 schools in the country and when I saw that I knew that when I graduate from Stony Brook, big things will happen. I also wanted my family to be able to come see me play and the campus is close so they can be in the stands.

A: My favorite class was WRT 101 in the fall semester because I love to write as much as I love to talk. My teacher was great and helped me develop as a college writer.

A: I learned to cherish every moment because I don’t get any days back. You can only go forwards and if you don’t give your all now, you won’t have a chance to go back and do it again.

A: My dream job would be to become an Athletic Trainer or Physical Therapist and work with famous athletes.

A: The person who had the most influence on me was my high school basketball coach, Gregg Petrocelli, who passed away during one of our games. He improved my game so much and he was like a father figure to me when I was in school.

A: The best thing about being a Stony Brook Seawolf if that you have an amazing Athletic Department staff that encourages you to succeed. There is no team that over-shines the others and we are all given great opportunities.

A: The most memorable moment as an athlete so far was beating Hofstra at their home court for the bragging rights of Long Island. That was the first college game that I started and I was Stony Brook’s Athlete of the Week after that.

A: This week was my first week of classes this semester so things were a little overwhelming because we had 6 weeks of just basketball so now I had to remember what it was like fitting everything into one day. I like all of my classes and I’m excited to start off the semester on a good foot.

A: We had a home game against Hartford Tuesday and unfortunately we lost that game. We’re back to our usual three hour practices and lifting schedule. We’re leaving for Albany on Friday and have a double header with our men’s team.

A: I would tell young kids to stay on top of your school work and if you don’t understand something, ask for help right away. In terms of athletics, always try to improve your game. Don’t sit around like a couch potato!
Q: Why I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championship...
A: I’m looking forward to the tournament because it’s all going to be new for me ? the banquet, the atmosphere, the hype. I love playing in those types of games.
