Q: Why I Chose UAlbany...
A: I chose UAlbany because it was a new environment compared to what I was used to. I really liked and appreciated Coach Patterson. I also liked the team and enjoyed that academic atmosphere. I thought it was a place I could really succeed.


Q: Favorite class and why...
A: My favorite class was Law and Africa America because I really liked the professor. He kept the class interesting and fun.


Q: One thing I have learned at UAlbany that I will carry with me for the rest of my life is...
A: One thing I have learned at UAlbany is how to be a responsible and mature woman of ultimate character and integrity because he truth is ? people are always watching.


Q: My Dream Job, other than the NBA/WNBA, is...
A: My dream job, other than the WNBA, is to be a professional singer and/or songwriter. I have always loved to sing. It has been a passion of mine.


Q: The person, other than my parents, who has had the most influence on me is, and why...
A: The person, other than my parents who has had the most influence on me is my sister, Lashuna Thrower. She keeps me grounded and teaches me how to be a lady.


Q: The best thing about being a UAlbany Great Dane is...
A: The best thing about being a UAlbany Great Dane is the family atmosphere. It is great to have the opportunity to play the sport that I love around great teammates.


Q: Most memorable moment as an athlete...
A: My most memorable moments as an athlete is when we played at the Pepsi Arena (now called the Times Union Center) against Siena when I broke my nose!


Q: What I did this week as a student (classes, tests, projects, study hall)...
A: This week as a student I attended my first full week of classes. I got all of my books for class and my notebooks situated. I also started the reading assignments for my classes. Study hall hasn’t started and I haven’t had any tests but I am preparing for the semester!


Q: What I did this week as an athlete (practice, games)...
A: This week as an athlete we had a game against Binghamton in which we won by 20 points! The team is also getting ready for the Big Purple Growl this weekend where we have a double header with the men’s team against Stony Brook. We did lots of preparing and practicing.


Q: Based upon my experiences growing up, my advice for young kids about school and athletics is...
A: Based upon my experiences growing up, my advice for young kids about school and athletics is that knowledge is power and one should be grateful if they get the opportunity to do both! I would advise kids not to ever take the opportunity to get an education for granted.


Q: Why I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championship...
A: I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championships because I love a challenge and this is a great for change. We are definitely ready to change the perception of who the Great Danes really are!
