A: I chose to be a student-athlete at UAlbany because it was an up and coming program with a ton of potential. I really enjoyed the coaches on my visit and I thought it would be a good fit for me. I also had a lot of fun with the guys on my recruiting trip and I felt like it was a place that I could fit in.

A: My favorite class is African Americans and Law because it opened my eyes to a lot of things that I would have otherwise been ignorant to. I enjoyed the professor’s perspective on a lot of issues in the class. It was interesting and fun at the same time.

A: One thing I have learned at UAlbany that I will carry with me for the rest of my life is to be confident in yourself at all times. Having confidence in yourself gives you the ability to achieve in many different facets of life. I have been able to be a strong student and a contributor on the basketball court and I attribute a large part of this to the confidence that I have in myself.

A: My dream job, other than to play in the NBA is to become a video game tester. I really like playing video games so why not make a career out of it?!

A: The person, other than my parents who has had the most influence on me is my brother because he has always been there to support me no matter what. It is nice to know no matter what happens throughout my time at UAlbany and beyond, my brother is there to support me.

A: The best thing about being a UAlbany Great Dane is being a defending champion of the America East conference! I also enjoy being a part of a team and having the opportunity to play basketball every day.

A: My most memorable moment as an athlete would have to be winning the America East Championship last year at the University of Vermont. It was a great game that came down to the last second. It was such a thrill to win.

A: Since we are on winter break and classes are not in session ? I did not have any responsibilities as a student this week. When school is in session, I find myself going to class, taking notes, reviewing my notes, studying for exams, and writing papers ? all in addition to playing basketball.

A: This week as an athlete I practiced every day and watching film in preparation for our game again New Hampshire and Vermont.

A: Based upon my experiences growing up, my advice for young kids about school and athletics is to never give up on yourself. There may be times where you will struggles in school or struggle in sports, but just keep trying and never give up on yourself. You will be sure to succeed if you keep trying.
Q: Why I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championship...
A: I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championship because it is a chance to get back to the NCAA Tournament. I am sure the tournament will be competitive and it will be a great atmosphere. It will be great to make the tournament for the third year in a row!
