CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--The polls for the week ending September 9 are in and several America East teams are receiving votes both regionally and nationally.
Four America East field hockey teams are listed in this week's national coaches' poll, including Albany (4-2) ranked for the first time this season at 18th. Boston University (3-2) slipped from 18th to 20th after a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to #11 Boston College on Friday. Off to one of the best starts in program history, the Catamounts (5-1) continue to garner votes and are the 23rd team in the poll, while New Hampshire (3-3) slips into the mix with two votes to round out the poll.
After opening the season 4-0, Binghamton's men's soccer is receiving 12 votes in the national poll and is ranked sixth in the Northeast region. UMBC (3-0-1) finished in the Northeast's top ten at the nine spot.
With a 1-1 road trip to Wisconsin over the weekend and a live televised appearance on the Big Ten Network, the Terriers (2-2) are ranked fifth in the women's soccer Northeast region. Boston U. is accompanied by New Hampshire (3-1) who is ranked 10th in the region. The Terriers and Wildcats are ranked fourth and 12th, respectively, in the Soccer Buzz Northeast poll.
