Five America East Golfers Named to PING All-Region Team - AmericaEast.com

Five America East golfers were named to the PING New England Division I All-Region Team on Thursday, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Binghamton's Zachary Vinal and Jeff Wolniewicz and Hartford's Dustin Wetherup, Maki Kobayashi and Nick MacDonald are joined nine other golfers in representing the New England region. America East's five selections is more than any other conference in the region. Hartford and the University of Rhode Island were the only schools in the region to have three players named to the team.

The PING All-Region teams consist of the top 15 individuals in their region in the Individual Ranking System. Additionally, any player ranked nationally in the top 75 according to the Golfstat or the Sagarin rankings not included their regions top 15 are added to their All-Region team. Members of the PING All-Region teams are automatically eligible for PING All-America honors, to be announced following the NCAA Division I Championships.
