BOSTON- Boston University's Akhilesh Chitlangia (Kolkata, India/La Martiniere) and Kaitlyn Mardeusz (Novi, Mich./Mercy) have been named America East Men’s and Women's Golfer of the Week, respectively. The accolades were announced Tuesday (April 24).

Chitlangia finished in a three-way tie for 21st at the RiverHawk Invitational with an 81-82?163 score.

Mardeusz had the best outings in her young career at Boston U. with a ninth-place finish at the MA State Championships and a 12th-place finish at the Jack Leaman Invite, the best among all America East golfers. At the MA States, Mardeusz shot (43-44?87) and at the Jack Leaman Invite shot (79-87?166).
