The 2001 America East Volleyball Championship will be held November 17-18 at the home court of the No. 1 seed. The semifinals of the four-team tournament are set for Saturday, November 17 with the championship game on Sunday, November 18.

America East member institutions -- University at Albany, University of Hartford, University of Maine, University of New Hampshire, Northeastern University, and Stony Brook University -- along with associate members Drexel University and Towson University will compete for the four championship berths.

The eight teams will each play a 14-game regular-season conference (double round-robin) schedule.

The No. 1 seed plays the No. 4 seed in one semifinal while the No. 2 seed meets the No. 3 seed in the other.

The winner of the America East Championship receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Volleyball Championship.
