Albany’s Lisa Klarmann (Oberstaufen, Germany/Rupert-Ness Gymnasium) and Binghamton's Jelana Koprivica (Belgrade, Serbia/Sport High School) are the America East Tennis Players of the Week. The accolades were announced Tuesday (April 25).

Klarmann posted victories in two singles matches last week and improved to a perfect 10-0 this spring. She tied Albany’s single-season win mark with a 7-5, 7-5 victory over Juliana Umeki of Binghamton on Saturday. Klarmann, who is 16-1 overall as a collegian, defeated Siena’s Sarah Mayer, 7-5, 6-2, on Wednesday. She has won 11 straight matches overall and 10 in a row at first singles in helping the Great Danes (9-5) to their highest win total since 1999-2000 season.

Koprivica won both of her singles and doubles matches as Binghamton closed out the regular season with a pair of victories. On Tuesday against Fairleigh Dickinson, she defeated Nadia Ortubia of Fairleigh Dickinson 6-0, 6-0. On Saturday against America East Conference foe Albany, she moved up to No. 2 singles and defeated Kim Weltman 6-2, 6-1. Korprivica also won both her matches at first doubles with teammate Jenn Naegeli. For the season, Koprivica is 20-8 in singles matches, including 10-4 in dual matches.
