Hartford's David Arnold (Brooklin, Canada/Sinclair Secondary) and Jo-Anna Krupa (Middletown, CT/Cromwell) are the America East Men's and Women's Golfers of the Week, respectively. The accolades were announced Tuesday (April 11).
Arnold led the Hawks at the George Washington Invitational on March 25-26 with a two-round total of 150 (+6), tying for 22nd overall. His final round, a one-over 73, was the lowest by any member of the Hawks squad. Hartford finished seventh out of 25 teams in the field.
Krupa has led the Hawks in the first two tournaments of the spring. Tied for first place at the Monmouth Hawk Invitational (April 2-3) with a two-day total of 159 but lost on the first hole of the playoff. Still, it was the best finish of her career, and she carded a final round of 78, the lowest round of the spring by a Hartford golfer and the third-lowest round of her career. She helped the Hawks to a second-place finish at Monmouth. Also paced the Hawks at the Lady Herd Invitational (March 20-21), tying for 67th overall with a three-round total of 264. She also carded the lowest round by any Hartford golfer at the tournament (82).
