The Binghamton golf team finished in a tie for 22nd at the NCAA East Regional, held May 15-17 at Auburn University Club in Auburn, Alabama. Freshman Kevin Crawford paced the Bearcats with a three-round total of 224 (77-75-72), which placed him in a tie for 64th.
The Bearcats team score of 917 (307-305-305) tied James Madison, and was ahead of local rival Yale. Binghamton's finish is the highest for an America East school in the last three years.
Crawford shot an even par round of 72 on Saturday (May 17) to post the lowest Bearcat round. Fellow rookie Brad Moulton shot 75-78-78=231, while senior Adam Fuchs shot 78-77-78=233, junior Keith Hendrickson shot 77-75-82=234, and junior Joe Kunz came in at 82-84-77=243.
