Women's Volleyball 9/9/2026 1:00:00 PM #AEVB Week 2: Bryant & Binghamton Win Three Times BOSTON – All six programs earned at least one victory last week as #AEVB programs combined to go 12-7 overall in the second full week of action. Need to Know Bryant went an impressive 3-1 last week, highlighted by a 3-1 victory over Brown to conclude the week. The Bulldogs also took down Rhode Island and Stonehill in sweeps earlier in the week. New Hampshire continued its strong start to the season, sweeping Bucknell and Stonehill before falling 3-1 to Boston College. Binghamton took down CCSU, Sacred Heart and Le Moyne in a perfect 3-0 week. UAlbany earned a pair of victories last week by edging Cornell 3-2 and sweeping Howard 3-0. UMBC pushed Buffalo to the edge before falling 3-2, but rebounded with a 3-0 sweep of Canisius. This weekend Binghamton is home for three matches while Bryant hosts a tournament and will play four times between Friday and Saturday. UMBC is also home, facing George Mason and George Washington, while New Hampshire, UAlbany and NJIT are on the road. Links Full #AEVB Schedule/Results #AEVB Standings #AEVB Statistics Weekly Award Winners – Sept. 1 Player of the Week Emma Converse, New Hampshire – Jr., Outside Hitter, San Antonio, Texas Hit .318 while averaging 3.8 kills and 1.3 digs per set in a 2-1 week. Totalied 15 kills and hit .480 in a sweep of Stonehill and also had 15 kills in a 3-1 loss to Boston College. This is Converse’s second straight #AEVB Player of the Week honor. Defensive Player of the Week Carrina Barron, Bryant – Sr., Libero, Tewksbury, Mass. Finished with 56 digs, including a pair of 20+ dig performances in a 3-1 week. Finished with 22 digs and seven assists in a 3-1 victory over Brown. This is Barron’s second career #AEVB Defensive Player of the Week honor. Setter of the Week Regan Kadel, Binghamton – Jr., Setter, Parker, Colo. Averaged 8.67 assists, 1.5 digs and 1.0 blocks per set in a 3-0 weekend. Recorded 40+ assists twice, including 41 in a 3-1 victory over CCSU with seven total blocks. This is Kadel’s first #AEVB Setter of the Week honor. Rookie of the Week Layla Olatunde, Bryant – Fr., Middle Blocker, Arlington, Texas Hit .320 and averaged 2.43 kills per set in a 3-1 week for Bryant. Registered 13 kills and hit .632 with three digs in a 3-0 sweep of Rhode Island.
