#AETF Week 4: Six Programs Earn Weekly Honors

BOSTON – Six different performers from six programs were recognized for their standout efforts over the past week of competition.

#AETF Weekly Award Winners – April 14

Female Field Athlete of the Week
Keegan Collins, UAlbany – Jr., Throws, Greenwich, N.Y.

  • Logged a career-best 59.46m in the hammer throw
  • Her mark ranks 26th in the East Region
  • This is Collins' first #AETF Athlete of the Week honor of the outdoor season

Female Track Athlete of the Week
Ruth White, New Hampshire – So., Distance, Orono, Maine

  • Broke the New Hampshire 5,000m school record, running 16:03.28 at the Friar Invitational
  • Her time ranks 26th in the East Region
  • This is White's first #AETF Athlete of the Week honor of the outdoor season

Female Rookie of the Week
Winter Evans, UMBC – Fr., Hurdles, Edgewood, Md.

  • Logged a pair of top-five finishes at the JMU Invite
  • Won the 100m hurdles in 14.07 and cleared 1.58m in the high jump
  • This is Evans' first #AETF Athlete of the Week honor of the outdoor season

Male Field Athlete of the Week
Derek Munroe, UMass Lowell – Sr., Multis, Tewksbury, Mass.

  • Broke the UMass Lowell school record in the decathlon at Tufts, totaling 6,935 points
  • Recorded personal bests in the 1,500m and long jump
  • This is Munroe's first #AETF Athlete of the Week honor of the outdoor season

Male Track Athlete of the Week
Charlie Collins, Maine – Jr., Distance, Winterport, Maine

  • Placed third in the 3,000m steeplechase on Friday at the Providence Friar Invitational
  • His time of 8:57.61 ranks first in the conference this season
  • This is Collins' first #AETF Athlete of the Week honor of the outdoor season

Male Rookie of the Week
Gannon Traymore, Binghamton – Fr., Throws, Pleasantville, N.Y.

  • Won the men's hammer at the Cornell Big Red Invitational
  • His mark of 203-7 ranks third in the America East
  • This is Traymore's first #AETF Athlete of the Week honor of the outdoor season
