New Hampshire at Binghamton – 6 PM The Wildcats have dropped six straight games and fallen from 4th to 7th in the standings. Most recently they dropped a 61-58 contest against Maine. Binghamton is currently in 9th place and needs a win to stay alive for the final playoff spot. This year’s first matchup was an epic three overtime battle and the Wildcats eventually prevailed by an 88-82 margin. The game was 57-57 at the end of regulation. Wes Peterson played 54 minutes for Binghamton, totaling 22 points. The Wildcats had five in double figures led by 16 points and 16 boards from Belal El Shakery. Bryant at UMBC – 6 PM The hottest team in the league, UMBC has won six straight to take control at the top of the standings. The Retrievers are coming off impressive wins over Vermont (75-62) and UAlbany (66-62) to take a two-game lead in the standings. Bryant, meanwhile, has lost three straight and failed to score 70+ in any of those contests. One of UMBC’s two conference losses this year was to Bryant on the road. The Bulldogs played one of their best games, shooting 9-for-24 from three and 51.7% from the field. Timofei Rudovskii led the team with 22 points and six threes, while DJ Armstrong had 20 points for UMBC. The Retrievers were 11-for-30 from deep and 17-of-20 on free throws but still lost. Maine at UAlbany – 6:30 PM The Great Danes won 2 of 3 on their recent three-game win streak, including an 81-63 win over NJIT. They have an outside chance at a top-4 seed if they win at least 2 of their final 3 games. Maine beat UNH 61-58 on Saturday to snap a three-game losing streak. UAlbany fell to Maine in the first meeting between these two teams this season. The Black Bears earned a 52-49 victory as UAlbany shot just 4-for-23 from three with 12 turnovers. Maine was 3-for-14 from three but scored 14 points off turnovers in the contest, led by 13 points from Logan Carey. UMass Lowell at Vermont – 7 PM UMass Lowell could push Vermont out of a top-2 seed for the first time in a decade on Thursday. The River Hawks have won four straight and scored 85+ in three of the four wins, including 92 against Binghamton on Saturday. Vermont has won 4 of 5, the lone loss to UMBC, but they did rebound for a 70-64 win at NJIT on Saturday. In the first matchup between the two teams, UVM continued its dominance against the River Hawks, extending its win streak to eight with a 77-68 win. TJ Hurley went off for 30 points and five threes as Vermont shot 48.4 percent. UML shot 39% for the game and Angel Montas Jr led the team with 18 points and eight boards but the team had 14 turnovers which lead to 19 UVM points.
