#AEMLAX Week 3: Three Teams Secure Victories

BOSTON – Bryant, UAlbany and UMass Lowell earned victories last week, with two of those wins coming at home.
 
Need to Know:
  • UAlbany came up short at home against Penn by a 15-10 margin, but rebounded with a resounding 17-9 victory at Drexel on Saturday. Silas Richmond led the offense with 13 points over two games.
  • UMass Lowell secured its second win of the season, blowing out Wagner 16-7.
  • Bryant earned a 14-7 home victory against Quinnipiac for its first win of the season.
  • Vermont fell to Dartmouth while UMBC lost to Loyola.
  • NJIT nearly took down UMass, dropping an 18-14 contest.
 
Up Next:
  • UMBC plays at Mount St. Mary’s on Tuesday before playing at Towson on Friday.
  • Vermont hosts Quinnipiac on Saturday, while UAlbany plays at UMass and Bryant travels to Brown.

Offensive Player of the Week

Silas Richmond, UAlbany – Sr., Attack, Delta, BC
  • Totaled 13 points on 7 goals and 6 assists in a 1-1 week.
  • Had 4 goals and 3 assists in a loss to Penn
  • Put up 3 goals and 3 assists in a 17-9 win over Drexel.
  • This is Richmond’s first #AEMLAX Offensive Player of the Week of the season.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Jackson Schlicker, UMass Lowell – Jr., Midfield, Portland, Ore.
  • Totaled five caused turnovers and one ground ball while helping the defense in a 16-7 win over Wagner.
  • This is Schlicker s first #AEMLAX Defensive Player of the Week honor.
 
Goalkeeper of the Week
James Carr – R-Jr., Goalkeeper, Natick, Mass.
  • Recorded 20 saves and allowed just seven goals in a 14-7 win over Quinnipiac.
  • Finished with a 74.1 save percentage and is 20 saves are the 4th most in the nation so far this season.
  • This is Carr’s first #AEMLAX Goalkeeper of the Week honor.
 
Face-Off Specialist of the Week
Justin Alexander, UMass Lowell – Jr., Face-Off, Franklin, Mass.
  • Won 18 of 23 face-offs with 12 ground balls in a 16-7 victory over the weekend.
  • This is Alexander’s first #AEMLAX Faceoff Specialist honor.
 
Rookie of the Week
Cade Lennon, Bryant – R-Fr., Attack, Farmingdale N.Y.
  • Scored four times in a 14-7 victory over Quinnipiac.
  • This is Lennon’s first #AEMLAX Rookie of the Week honor.
