BOSTON – Following a fifth straight championship, UMass Lowell was selected first in the 2025 Men’s #AEXC Preseason Poll, as announced by the conference on Tuesday morning.
The River Hawks have claimed each of their five straight titles by at least 25 points and were a unanimous selection to repeat again this year. They totaled 64 points and all eight possible first place votes as they bring back a number of scorers from last year’s team.
Binghamton was selected second with 52 points after finishing third in 2024, fourth in 2023 and second in 2022. Maine took home the final first place vote and was third with 50 points after recording its second straight runner-up finish in 2024. UMBC and New Hampshire tied fourth with 39 points apiece while Vermont was selected sixth with 34 points.
The 2025 season begins on Friday, as UMBC, Maine and NJIT are all in action. On Saturday, UAlbany, New Hampshire, Binghamton, UMass Lowell and Vermont open their seasons. Bryant starts the following Saturday.

This year’s #AEXC Championship will hosted by UMass Lowell on Friday, October 31 at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H. The championship will be broadcast live once again in 2025.
