BOSTON, MA - The 2025 America East Outdoor Track and Field Championships kicked off today on the campus of New Hampshire

The day began with a record-breaking performance as New Hampshire first-year Ruth White crossed the finish line first in the 10,000-meter with a time of 32:57.83, breaking one of the oldest conference meet records. The Bryant duo of Chloe Whiting and Jasmine Trott finished second and third, rounding out the top three.
In the men’s 10,000-meter, Bryant’s Ryan Slaney claimed his first individual conference title with a time of 29:13.28, while Maine’s Charlie Collins and Binghamton’s Jennifer Mui took home the titles in the men’s and women’s steeplechase, running 8:52.63 and 10:17.89, respectively.
Due to the weather, only three field events crowned champions. In the women’s hammer throw, UAlbany’s Stephanie Green dominated the field with a toss of 59.10m, just .23m short of her lifetime best, to claim her first individual conference championship. On the men’s side, New Hampshire’s Liam McGovern threw a huge personal-best of 64.91m to grab the gold.
Ashley Brule of Bryant and Alyssa Armitage of Binghamton both cleared 3.85m in the women’s pole vault, but it was Brule who walked away with the title as she cleared the height on her first attempt.
Day 1 Things to Know

- Bryant's Ryan Slaney has not finished worse than third in an #AETF Championship and claimed his first individual title today winning the men's 10K in29.13.28
- Due to the rain delays, the meet will be changing to a finals on time format in all remaining events excepet the men's and women's 1500m, and the women's 100 hurdles whicih were able to complete their prelims today
Competition will resume tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. with the multis, while the rest of the competitors are set to begin at 10:00 a.m. in a championship final setting.
