#AEBASE Week 14: Bryant and NJIT Earn Sweeps to Conclude Regular Season

BOSTON – Bryant swept UMBC in the final weekend of the regular season to put a bow on its second straight regular season title while NJIT took three from UMass Lowell to jump into the second spot in the standings.
 
The Highlanders took down UML 8-2, 4-2 and then 5-3 in the final thanks to some late inning heroics throughout the weekend. Bryant, meanwhile, outscored UMBC 17-1 in the first two games, before holding on for an 11-10 victory in the finale.
 
Binghamton won 2 of 3 from UAlbany to secure the No. 3 Seed, while the Great Danes secured the No. 5 seed. Maine was swept by UConn over the weekend and will be the No. 4 Seed in the upcoming championship.
 
Wednesday kicks off the single elimination portion of the 2025 Northeast Delta Dental America East Baseball Championship, as Maine faces UAlbany at 1 p.m., followed by Binghamton against UMBC at 5 p.m.

Player of the Week
Mason Wolf, NJIT – Gr., Catcher, Ocean Township, N.J.
  • Hit .636 with a 1.000 slugging percentage, three RBI and three runs as NJIT swept UMass Lowell to earn the No. 2 Seed.
  • In Saturday’s 4-2 win, hit a solo home run to start an 8th inning comeback.
  • Extended his hitting streak to 16 games and batting .399 currently.
  • This is Wolf’s first #AEBASE Player of the Week honors this season.
 
Pitcher  of the Week
MT Morrissey, NJIT – Gr., Pitcher, Portsmouth, R.I.
  • Went the distance, pitching 9.0 innings with 11 strikeouts in a 4-2 comeback victory over UMass Lowell
  • Allowed just six hits, two earned runs with two walks in the victory.
  • This is Morrissey’s second #AEBASE Pitcher of the Week honor.
 
Rookie of the Week
Cam Papetti, Bryant – Fr., Third Base, Grafton, Mass.
  • Went 4-for-9 last week with four home runs and eight RBI, registering an OPS of 2.349.
  • Had a pair of 2-home run, 4-RBI contests last week.
  • This is Papetti’s first #AEBASE Rookie of the Week honor.
