#AEMLAX Week 11: UAlbany, Bryant Lock Up Championship Berths

BOSTON – Two more teams locked up spots in the #AEMLAX Championship last week as Bryant and UAlbany locked up spots. Additionally, UMBC locked up a share of the regular-season title for the first time since 2021.

Bryant hung on for a 13-12 win over Binghamton to lock up a tournament spot. UMBC beat NJIT, 19-11, and Vermont knocked off UMass Lowell, 17-9. In non-league actions, UAlbany beat perennial power Yale, 15-14 in overtime.

A lot remains at stake this weekend, the last one for regular-season play. Bryant can secure a share of the regular-season title, the top seed for the tournament and hosting rights with a win over UMass Lowell, while UMBC, which has a bye this weekend, would be No. 1 and host with a Bulldogs’ loss. Binghamton takes on Vermont on Saturday with the winner earning the final spot in the tournament field.

Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of the #AEMLAX this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.
