Men's Lacrosse 3/10/2025 11:00:00 AM #AEMLAX Week 5: Four Teams Claim Victory BOSTON – America East men’s lacrosse teams continue to face competitive out of conference opponents as NJIT, UAlbany, and Binghamton went 1-1 this week while Bryant picked up another victory in their lone game of the week. The Highlanders fell to Monmouth on Wednesday but returned home to take down Wagner in a thrilling 12-11 victory. UAlbany fell short to No. 10 Georgetown but took down Hobart 17-12 over the weekend. Binghamton got their first win of the season in a close game over Stony Brook Saturday. Bryant was able to secure a 9-6 win over St. John's at home on Saturday. Plenty of action this week for #AEMLAX as NJIT takes on Lafayette Tuesday right before America East Conference play begins on Friday as UMass Lowell hosts Binghamton. On Saturday, UMBC hosts Vermont while UAlbany travels to Bryant in a matchup between the last two conference champions. Tallied 10 goals and three assists in two games last week. Tied UAlbany single-game record with nine goals in win over Hobart. This is Doherty’s first #AEMLAX Offensive Player of the Week honor this season. Defensive Player of the Week Matthew Rincon, Binghamton – Jr., Midfield, West Linn, Ore. Totaled 11 ground balls and four caused turnovers in two games. Had a career-high eight ground balls in win over Stony Brook. This is Rincon's first career #AEMLAX Defensive Player of the Week honor. Goalkeeper of the Week Brady Smith, UAlbany – Fr., Goalkeeper, Bayport, N.Y. Made 21 saves in two games last week. Had 10 saves in a 17-12 win over Hobart. This is Smith’s first career #AEMLAX Goalkeeper of the Week honor. Faceoff Specialist of the Week Henry Dodge, Vermont - Jr., Faceoff, Westport, Conn. Went 11-for-14 (.786) from the faceoff with 10 ground balls versus UMass. Dodge ranks seond nationally in faceoff percentage (.708) and first in ground balls per game (9.4) This is Dodge’s third #AEMLAX Faceoff Specialist honor of the season.
